Bicycle rentals are introduced in Uzhgorod: Uzhgorod residents have the opportunity to choose their locations

The introduction of the public bicycle rental system in Uzhgorod was discussed yesterday by the Mayor Bohdan Andriyiv ​​and the CEO of Nextbike Ukraine Roman Savyak. Previously, the Department of Economic Development of Uzhgorod City Council announced the search for an investor to create a network of public bicycle rental. At the end of last year, Nextbike Ukraine LLC responded to the initiative of the city and submitted proposals for the establishment a modern system of public bicycle rental in Uzhgorod, which meets the relevant requirements and contains an investment component. The meeting was attended by the director of the municipal enterprise "Uzhgorod municipal transport" Vitaliy Hotra, the head of the city economic development department Pavlo Logvinov, his deputy Vasyl Tsap, the head of the NGO "FORZA" Lesya Loiko, the head of the legal division of the municipal economy department Vasyl Banyas. It should be reminded that modernization of road, bicycle and pedestrian infrastructure and public transport in Uzhgorod based on the priority of pedestrians and non-motorized transport was identified as one of the areas of the City Development Strategy until 2030. The participants of the meeting determined further assignment of tasks for the implementation of the first stage of the public bicycle rental system. It is planned to install 10 stations for 75 bicycles. The Department of Economic Development of Uzhgorod City Council invites you to take part in the determination of the best locations for the network of bicycle stations in the city – vote HERE https://www.facebook.com/groups/189377458788608/
