“Bethlehem Star” continues

January 12, the contest for the best Christmas songs, "Bethlehem Star" was held in Dubove of Tyachiv district. This time, preschoolers and junior schoolchildren of Dubove, Kalyny, Hanychi and nearby settlements gathered to sing carols and determine the best in praising the birth of Jesus.

The participants came at the festival with their parents who supported their children. An independent jury announced the results of the competition – the team of the pre-school from the village of Hanychi gained the victory, the second place went to preschoolers from the village of Dubove, the third place – to the pupils of the kindergarten No.2 of the village of Kalyny.

For 1st, 2nd, and 3rd places the participants from pre-schools received plasma TV, washing machine and carpet for the playroom, respectively, and the winners among schoolchildren – projector, plasma TV and karaoke. Each of the students and preschoolers who won prizes received mobile phones, and all the kids received candy. The competition "Bethlehem Star" in Tyachiv and Rakhiv districts is held under the patronage of the deputy of Ukraine Vasyl Petyovka for the third consecutive year. Today kids sing carols in Bushtyno and Nyzhnya Apsha.
