The Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of Ukraine has considered an offer on implementation of automated geographic information control system, vehicles and personnel monitoring and control using GPS technology which was made by the company Benish GPS Ukraine.
On August 7 the company has started free installation and testing of equipment in order to verify the appropriateness of product introduction, its quantity, funding resources and project schedules.
State Environmental Inspection of Ukraine in the Transcarpathian region, Department of Reserved areas and Uzhanskyj National Park, State Water Resources Agency of Ukraine and Tysa basin water resources body will be the first to test efficiency of the new technology.
– The beginning is very promising, – says the Director of Uzhanskyj NP Vasyl’ Kopach. – In the future, when the automated system will extend to all areas of our activity our work will be even more effective, and most the important thing is that we have an opportunity to provide support to the personnel performing the functions and tasks associated with the collection, processing, quick response and storage of emergency data related to natural and manmade, and other events.
According to the calculations of developers, the new product allows to save state costs for maintenance of vehicles and communication, optimize working schedules, etc. However, more detailed information on the benefits of the system will only be available after the trial period.
