The mayor of Uzhgorod, Bohdan Andriyiv, told the police officers that since begging is forbidden by law, the only way to stop it is to go for those who do business on this, deliver and exploit people ready to beg. "This disgraceful phenomenon negatively impacts the tourist image of our city. Only systemic work of law enforcement agencies can solve the problem, the city authorities are ready to provide support, assistance," – the mayor said.

At the meeting, they also discussed illegal trade, it is especially widespread near the markets.
