Now everyone has a unique opportunity to visit a real bee settlement. Thanks to the project "Carpathian bee – joint activities to preserve the unique natural heritage in the Ukrainian-Polish border" on the territory of Kolochava secondary school №2, a demonstration apiary has been opened in the village of Bradolets.
Here you can learn interesting facts about beekeeping, its history and evolution. The territory is well arranged – with paths and a gazebo – so visits will be very comfortable.
And as part of the project, the permanent exhibition "Carpathian apiary in the historical context" was opened in Kolochava. It is very interesting to trace this evolution, believe me, and better check it yourself.
The aim of the project is to study and preserve the indigenous honey species of bee – the Carpathian bee. We also want to tell more about beekeeping products and draw attention to such a profession as beekeeper.
The project is being implemented with the financial support of the European Union under CBC Programme Poland-Belarus-Ukraine jointly with the Association "Carpathian Euroregion – Ukraine", Carpathian Eco Apiary, Kolochava village council, Stowarzyszenie na Rzecz Rozwoju i Promocji Podkarpacia "Pro Carpathia"
