Because of their own negligence, a family almost lost a two-storey house

On October 26, Rakhiv rescuers received a report of a fire in the basement of a residential house in the village of Dilove on Myr street.

To eliminate the fire, a crew of the 3rd State Fire and Rescue Unit of the city of Rakhiv was sent at the scene.

According to the victim, she went to the basement to ignite a boiler that heated the whole house. They used sawdust for this. Bags of wood waste were lying close to the boiler. Not giving it enough attention, the owner continued doing her housework. After a while, she noticed smoke coming out of the basement. Not wasting a moment, the woman called firefighters.  

The firefighters had to act very quickly in order to prevent the fire destroying the house, because the bags of sawdust contributed to its rapid spread.

The fire destroyed about 150 kg of sawdust.  Thanks to skillful actions, firefighters saved the house from the ravages of the fire.

One of the possible causes of the fire was the violation of fire safety rules when using the stove heating.

The amount of loss is being established.

Nobody died or was injured during the fire.
