Because of non-transparent procurement prosedure, Transcarpathians are left without LPG

In the absence of competitive market of liquefied gas, Transcarpathians are left without it for the winter.

As of the beginning of September, the region is provided with liquefied gas only at 7% of the needs. Today, almost one third of the households in the region are not gasified. In Rakhiv district, there is no ​​gas supply at all, Tyachiv district is only partially gasified. Only one entity in the region – "Zakarpathaz" JSC – has the right to purchase liquefied natural gas at specialized auctions.  

The region has repeatedly appealed to the head of the auction committee for the sale of crude oil, gas condensate of domestic production and LNG Ayvaras Abramavichus to allow other entities to participate in the auction. In particular, "Nadezhda-Zakarpattya" LLC, "STS-2014" LLC, "VART Ukrains" LLC and "Novator" PE. However, officials still have not responded to the proposal of the region and the people are left without liquefied gas for the winter.
