Because of hidden cigarettes, a Ukrainian lost his “RENAULT” (PHOTOS)

Employees of the Transcarpathian customs office prevented an attempt of cigarette smuggling at the customs post "Tisa". The Ukrainian was heading in private affairs from Ukraine to Hungary by a car "RENAULT LAGUNA" with foreign registration.

The Ukrainian chose the "green corridor" for customs control. During oral questioning, the citizen denied having any goods, including those subject to declaration, and said that he was not carrying any goods hidden from customs control.

Based on signs of presence of specially manufactured caches in the vehicle, customs officers decided to conduct an in-depth customs inspection of the vehicle. During the inspection, they found in specially equipped and adapted places 115 packs of "ROTHMANS" and "BOND" with excise stamps of Ukraine hidden from customs control.

The man acknowledged that the cigarettes were his property. Thus, the citizen of Ukraine committed actions aimed at moving goods across the customs border of Ukraine using specially manufactured caches.

These actions have signs of violation of customs regulations referred to in Part 1 of Article 483 of the Customs Code of Ukraine. The report on violation of customs rules was made, the vehicle and the cigarettes were seized until the court decision.
