Because of defiance, a 20-year-old Transcarpathian lost his car

On June 14, at 00:30, on Sobranetska street, a crew of Uzhgorod patrol police noticed a VAZ moving with broken tail lights at a high speed, posing a danger to other road users. The driver would not respond to the request of the policemen to stop and continued dangerous driving. The policemen decided to pursue and stop the car to find out the reasons for such behavior on the road and check the documents for the vehicle. Outside the city, the police stopped the VAZ and detained the offender. It was a 20-year-old resident of Velyky Berezny district, who has repeatedly grossly violated traffic rules and was suspected of committing administrative and criminal offenses. The young man was behaving haughtily and aggressively, would not cooperate with the policemen and would not calm down. The policemenl had to use handcuffs. As the policemen believed that such defiance may be due to the fact that the young man was hiding prohibited items, they decided to conduct an inspection, during which they found in the car a herbal substance similar to marijuana, weighing about 5 grams. Also in the glove compartment of the car, policemen found a possibly stolen car stereo. The policemen called investigators and guarded the crime scene and the evidence until their arrival. In addition, patrol policemen drew out a report against the driver for violation of traffic rules. The car was taken to the impound lot.
