As uzhgorod.in reported, April 9, at the Synevyr Pass there was a landslide. As a result, travel on the road became much more complicated, traffic for trucks was prohibited.
According to the acting head of the regional prosecutor’s office for advocacy, combating corruption and crime in the transport field Mykhailo Panto, "A 45 meters long subgrade layer has shifted. The traffic is currently difficult, and in the future it could lead to critical consequences and blocking of routes to a number of settlements (Synevyrska Polyana, Synevyr, Nehrovets, Kolochava).
The Prosecutor of the Transcarpathian region has organized the investigation into this matter. In the course of its implementation, they will find out the reasons that led to such a state of the road. Also, they will assess the completeness and timeliness of the measures taken by the officials to maintain the specified section of the road in good condition and to ensure road safety."
