Yesterday, a car "Peugeot" moving from Ukraine to Hungary arrived to the customs post "Tisa" of the Transcarpathian customs office.
The Ukrainian driving the car decided to undergo customs control through the "green corridor" of the customs post and, during the oral survey, denied transporting any goods subject to mandatory written declaration, taxation and prohibition on entry into the customs territory Ukraine.
However, based on analysis and risk assessment, the vehicle was taken out of the general queue for customs inspection. And not for nothing: customs officers, conducting an in-depth inspection of the car and the things of the citizen of Ukraine, found tobacco products hidden from customs control. Cigarettes with filter without excise stamps, labeled "FOR DUTY FREE ONLY" of the brands "Compliment", "Super Slims 5" manufacturer – "LVIV TOBACCO FACTORY", in total amount of 493 packs were hidden in a specially made cache in the car dashboard.
Thus, the citizen of Ukraine committed acts with signs of violation of customs regulations envisaged by Part 1 of Article 483 of the Customs Code of Ukraine. Based on Article 511 of the Customs Code of Ukraine, the goods being direct objects of customs regulations violation – cigarettes, the cost of which requires additional assessment involving a specialist, and the "Peugeot 406" – were confiscated.
