Night Ride in Uzhgorod is always a bright and crowded event. This time, it was special too. Cyclists, having gathered on Narodna Square, accompanied by a truck with flags rode around the city and met at the Drama Theater. But this Night Ride had dual purpose.
In addition to promoting healthy lifestyle, two-wheeled transport and family cycling, for the first time at the festival visitors had the opportunity to help the army. While the ride itself was marine-themed and focused on the Uzhgorod Regatta, which will take place on Sunday, the volunteers, who came to the rally of two-wheelers, added a charity aspect to it. They launched the fair, which was dominated by products with the bear-helper. A beautiful bear, armed with a machine gun, became the trend of the Movement for support of Transcarpathian soldiers, and from now on is emblazoned on T-shirts, flags, badges, key chains and even on bottles of the author’s healing water "Tears of a separatist."
The proceeds from the sale of products will be used to purchase things needed by our soldiers in the east, such as sights, medicine and other necessities. Also at the festival, visitors were able to buy charity sweets.
The bear himself got new incarnations: now he is not only a brave gunner, but also a cyclist, a biker, a pilot and a sailor. They say it’s not all of the helper’s "interests", and tomorrow, the bear will be working at the biker rally continuing his mission to support the army.
