On December 9, the premiere of the performance "Valybuk, Princess and Longbeard" will take place in the Transcarpathian Academic Regional Puppet Theater.
The performance was produced within the framework of the project "Rainbow Fairy Tale Beads. Presentation of Slovak folklore by means of puppet theater art", which received grant support from the Ukrainian Cultural Foundation. The first shows took place at the end of last month for the children of the Slovak community in Transcarpathia.
And this Sunday, the show will be presented to a wide audience in the cozy hall of the regional puppet theater.
The play "Valybuk and Longbeard" was written by famous contemporary Slovak playwright Pavol Uger – actor, puppeteer, screenwriter, director and playwright. The play is based upon a Slovak folk tale.
The Transcarpathian version of the play was produced by director Honored Artist of Ukraine Natalia Oreshnikova, Lviv scenographer Inessa Kulchytska, and the roles of the fairy-tale characters are played by two actors – Andriy Opiok and Dmytro Yemets. Together they created an extremely interesting duet.
Young theater lovers will definitely enjoy the premiere! The shows will take place at the usual time – at 11.00 and at 13.00, – the theater announced.
