In the period from 2 to 9 January 2013 economic courts instituted the bankruptcy proceedings against 7 companies operating in the field of gas supply and gasification. This is stated in the documents published in the Unified State Register of Judgments. According to the report, the bankruptcy proceedings were initiated against "Ivano-Frankivskhaz", "Sumyhaz", "Chernihivhaz", "Zakarpathaz", "Kryvorizhhaz", "Mykolayivhaz" and "Kharkivmiskhaz." As reported, the courts have recently initiated the bankruptcy proceedings against "Vinnytsyahaz" and "Luhanskhaz." One of the shareholders of these companies is the "Haztek" JSC which is associated with oligarch Dmytro Firtash.Formerly "Dniprohaz", as well as "Donetskmiskhaz", "Kryvorizhhaz", "Kharkivhaz" and "Kharkivmiskhaz" were part of the "HAZEKS" group. In mid-2012 the Antimonopoly Committee allowed the company Vijaya Universal Ltd (British Virgin Islands) via Eriswell Trading Ltd., Sagacity Ltd., Tanter Holdings Ltd., Humgate Holdings Ltd. (all – of Cyprus) to gain control of 71.63% of shares of "Dniprohaz." AMC allowed the company to gain control over other Ukrainian assets of the "HAZEKS." As you know, "Ukrtranshaz" since 2010 has been headed by Serhiy Vinokurov, who until this appointment had been the director of "Osthem Ukraine" LLC owned by Firtash.
