Autumn conscription campaign was discussed at the briefing in the City Council

Today, on September 23, a briefing for journalists on the 2019 autumn conscription campaign took place in the Uzhgorod City Council.
Mayor Bohdan Andriyiv informed that according to the Decree of the President of Ukraine, tha autumn conscription would take place from October 1 to December 31, 2019. The mayor signed the decree, the compositions of the city conscription and medical commissions were formed and approved.
The chairman of the conscription commission, the deputy mayor Oleksandr Bilak, emphasized that the young men who are called up for conscription would not be sent to the war zone in the east of Ukraine. Working conscripts will retain their jobs, and the men having confirmed health problems will not be drafted.
 Young men aged 20-27 years are subject to conscription. The autumn draft will start on October 1 and end on December 31. 100-120 conscripts should be called from Uzhgorod, Chop, Uzhgorod district, Baranyntsi united community. Conscripts will be sent for military service to the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the National Guard, the State Border Guard Service, the State Special Transport Service.
The Mayor Bohdan Andriyiv noted that service in the Ukrainian army is a very responsible and honorable mission, urged young men to join the ranks of our state’s defenders.
