Augustin Voloshin prize. The best teachers of Transcarpathia received the regional award

Augustin Voloshin – a priest and a politician – first and foremost considered himself a teacher. The regional prize for educators was named after the legendary Transcarpathian. It has been awarded since 2008 to educators chosen in districts and cities of Transcarpathia by their colleagues.

On Thursday, October 2, in the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration, there was the celebration on this occasion. 18 educators of the region received these awards.  

Congratulating the teachers (the Day of Teacher will be soon), the head of the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration Vasyl Hubal said that he had always relied on teachers, had a lot of friends among them, and asked them for advised in difficult times. The head of the region said: "Education is indeed in the priority field, it has been and will be so for the management of the region."  

Transcarpathian Regional Council Chairman Ivan Baloha said that educators are extremely important community for the region, because they take care not only about formal education, but also the preservation and development of cultural traditions. "We know that your labor is not always properly appreciated, and we will make every effort to change it" – Ivan Baloha said. The chairman of the Regional Council also stressed on the problems of the educational infrastructure. Thus, the energy conservation program will be implemented in the region that will allow to get rid of dependence on Russian gas. He also thanked the teachers for the support they provide to participants of the ATO.

And children, who congratulated the teachers with poems and songs, gave the top officials of the region symbolic school bells – so that they never forget about the needs of education.
