In Transcarpathia, dozens of accidents have already occurred because of snowfall. The National Police in Transcarpathian region confirmed that the number of accidents in Transcarpathia has increased dramatically due to snow.
Most accidents are minor and the drivers settle the claims themselves.
At the moment, users of social networks have reported about an accident in Rakoshino in Mukachevo district, where the car drove into a ditch.
Also, an accident happened in Khust district near the village of Rokosovo, where a minibus and a VAZ car collided.
Vehicular traffic on the passes is hampered. It is reported that the snow cover in the mountains has already reached more than 50 cm. Currently, the road is being cleared by special equipment, the State Emergencies Service informed that at night there may be significant frosts and tractor units will be used at the passes.
