At the initiative of the Consul General of Hungary, tomorrow, in Uzhgorod, there will be the unveiling of another mini-sculpture

The meeting of the Consul General of Hungary in Uzhgorod Jozsef Buhayla with the Mayor of Uzhgorod Bogdan Andriyiv and his first deputy István Tsap took place at the Uzhgorod city council.
 Jozsef Buhayla invited the officials to attend tomorrow, March 10, at 14.00, the grand unveiling of another mini-sculpture, which joined the cohort of special tiny monuments of the city – to Hungarian painter Tivadar Kozstka Csontvary. The artist studied in Uzhgorod when he was a child and later would often recall how he was skating on the Uzh river.
The diplomat asked about the progress of the project for sewage treatment which will be implemented in Uzhgorod. The Mayor Bogdan Andriyiv said that the project documentation had been submitted to the Kyiv office of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, which will provide funding, so they are waiting for response. Jozsef Buhayla said that Hungary offers Uzhgorod full support in this project.
 

The Consul General invited the leaders of Uzhgorod to the celebration of the anniversary of the Hungarian Revolution of 1848 and reminded about the planned series of events to celebrate this year’s anniversary of the Hungarian Revolution of 1956.
They also talked about the reconstruction of the Uzhgorod square, which is named after the famous Hungarian poet and revolutionary Sandor Petofi. The city officials asked the Hungarian to give their view of the planned upgrades and, if possible, to contribute financially. They agreed that this issue would be discussed in detail during the visit if one of the Hungarian officials to Uzhgorod.
