At the festival “Hamora 2016”, the participants will show not only the blacksmith art (Announcement)

On June 25-26, in the village of Lysychovo in Irshava district, there will be the opening of the traditional district festival of blacksmith art and crafts "Hamora 2016," the Department of Culture of the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration informs

Its goal is to preserve ethnic and cultural customs of Transcarpathia and to promote the historical monument of XVIII century – the only operating water forge in Europe.

The program of the festival includes a festive parade of smiths, workshops from blacksmiths, potters, coopers, masters of basket weaving, embroidery. Most inquisitive visitors will be able to try themselves in each of the crafts. In addition, the best folk groups of Irshava district and guest artists will perform for the visitors.

The inauguration of the "Hamora" will take place on Saturday at 13.00. Admission to the festival is free.
