Recently, a "BMW X5" with Slovak registration arrived at the border and customs control point "Tisa". It was driven by a citizen of Moldova, which was heading from Hungary to Ukraine.
During the necessary procedures for crossing the state border, the border guards had doubts about the car and the documents authorizing him to operate this car. Thus, the border guards conducted a full identification of the vehicle together with representatives of the customs.
As a result of measures aimed at establishing the legality of the transportation of the said vehicle across the state border of Ukraine, it was found out that the letter of authorization for operation of the "BMW X5" was fake.
The vehicle was seized, its value is currently being established.
Another car – "Audi A6" (made in 1996) driven by a Moldovan citizen was also detained at the Ukrainian-Hungarian border.
Border guards of the same unit paid close attention to the vehicle en route to Ukraine and during the inspection found out that the car was operated with a fake number of the bodywork.
The "Audi" was seized and assessed at a little over 16,000 UAH.
