At the closing of the season, the Drama Theatre will tell “What willows are weeping about” (Announcement)

On July 12, at 18.00, the Transcarpathian Regional Ukrainian Music and Drama Theatre closes its 69th theatrical season.

Fans of the theater arts are invited to the premiere of the new play "What willows are weeping about" by I.Karpenko-Kary.

In 2015, IK Karpenko-Kary would be 170 years old. Artists of the Transcarpathian theatre decided to honour the prominent figure with a stage version of "Wretched" – "What willows are weeping about" (written and directed by Honored Artist of Ukraine Vasyl Shershun).

Viewers are invited to see the production with a lot of modern plastics (choreographer – Victor Babuka) to the best songs of the bands "Dakha Brakha" and "Perkalaba". Set design by Lyudmila Byelaya highlights an original interpretation. Ukrainian willows are the media of age-old information. You can understand it if you touch the trunk or crown, listen to their rustling – whisper…

Willows can be happy for happy people and weep bitterly over the lost lives.
