At the checkpoint “Uzhgorod”, hidden parts for helicopters and airplanes were found in a Transcarpathian’s car (PHOTOS)

At the checkpoint “Uzhgorod”, border guards found an unusual contraband in a minibus Volkswagen, which had arrived from Slovakia and was driven by a 47-year-old Transcarpathian.  

The border guards, who suspected possible illegal activities on the part of the driver of this vehicle, sent it for in-depth inspection. This was reported by the site of the city of Uzhgorod  

The press service of the Chop border guard detachment reported that border guards, together with customs officers, found spare parts for helicopters and airplanes in the luggage compartment of the minibus. According to the expert, those parts are used in military aviation. The Security Service was notified about that, because the actions of the minibus driver had signs of a criminal offense under Art. 333 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine "Violation of the procedure for international transportation of goods subject to state expert control."
