At the checkpoint “Uzhgorod”, a Czech lost his car

At the international checkpoint "Uzhgorod", an attempt of illegal import of an expensive car into Ukraine was prevented.

Last weekend, late at night, a TOYOTA LAND CRUISER, made in 2010, arrived for the border and customs control from Slovakia to Ukraine The car with Czech license plates was driven by a 50-year-old citizen of the Czech Republic.

During the customs control, offices noticed a number of factors that caused them to initiate a full identification of the vehicle.

During the scrutiny of the car, the inspectors first discovered a counterfeit duplicate sticker on the middle left support and absence of other identification marks of the manufacturer. Later they revealed the mechanical interference with the identification number of the body.

The fact that the vehicle identification number was conterfeit was confirmed by an expert.

As a result of the above activities, the car was confiscated, its value is being assessed.
