At the checkpoint “Tisa”, a Ukrainian lost his car because of cigarettes (PHOTO)

Another failure befell another our compatriot, who decided to try his luck and move cigarettes illegally across the border.

Last night, a car "VAZ" driven by a citizen of Ukraine arrived at the checkpoint "Tisa" for border and customs control. Due to a number of factors, border guards together with customs officers decided to thoroughly inspect the car.

As a result of the joint inspection, in the bottom of the luggage compartment, under the floor decorative covering and above the front wheels, they found domestically produced cigarettes "Rothmans Demi". The total number of the tobacco products was 680 packs. Access to the hidden cargo became possible only after the dismantling of the false bottom of the car trunk.

The cigarettes were seized according to the established procedure and estimated at over 6,000 UAH. The same fate befell the vehicle "VAZ", which was estimated at almost 12,000 UAH.
