At the checkpoint “Tisa”, a citizen of Hungary tried to bribe a border guard

Yesterday, June 14, at the checkpoint "Tisa", Chop border guards recorded and prevented another attempt of bribery.  

Thus, a citizen of Hungary, who was leaving Ukraine presented for document check a passport with 300 UAH inside. In this way, she tried to resolve the issue of smooth border crossing as she had violated the rules of stay in Ukraine, namely had not taken measures for timely registration.

In order to take a legal decision on possible signs of crime envisaged by Part 1 of Article 369 of the Criminal Code "Offer, promise or giving of an undue benefit to an officer", this fact was reported to Uzhgorod police. 

The management of the Mukachevo border guard detachment once again appeals to all road users not to violate the laws of Ukraine and not to attempt to get officers of the State Border Guard Service involved in illegal activities by offering bribes for making illegal decisions
