As of January 1, the changes to EU customs rules become effective

From now on, the EU introduce a single customs declaration form and compulsory declaration of money in the amount of 10 thousand euros and more both at the entrance to, and at the exit from the country. And it concerns not only cash, but also travelers checks and securities.

The declaration should be made even at the transit crossing between EU countries.

These changes are intended to stop the transfer of funds obtained through crime.

The new customs declaration form has long been used in Finland.
