In the village of Nove Selo in Vynogradiv district, a car "Mercedes" fatally injured a half-year-old child, whose mother was crossing the road with a stroller in a wrong place. The police started investigation into this incident.
Yesterday, September 19, the Vynogradiv district police received from an accident witness a report that in the village of Nove Selo, a car hit a woman with a stroller. The investigative team was sent to the scene.
Law enforcers found out that a 37-year-old resident of the village of Vylok in Vynogradiv district, driving a car "Mercedes" with foreign registration lost control of the car and hit a stroller of a 26-year-old resident of the village of Nove Selo. The woman was crossing the road in a wrong place. Unfortunately, a half-year-old child in the stroller died of injuries in the intensive care unit of Vynogradiv Hospital.
The police opened a criminal case under Part 2 of Article 286 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (Violation of traffic safety rules, which caused the death of the victim). The case is being investigated by the investigation department of the regional police.
The driver was tested. The car was taken to the impound lot of the Vynogradiv police. The circumstances of the tragic accident are being investigated.
