"Across the river, in the shade of trees" – the retrospective exhibition under this title has opened in Uzhgorod. 100 works of Volodymyr Cherepanya gathered from private collections were presented in the art center "Ilko Gallery." This is the fifth exhibition of the master. Paintings in different genres covering the period from 1985 to 1996 are exhibited on two floors of the art space. The exhibition was initiated by the family of Mykhailo and Angela Man, old friends of the author, with the assistance of the Art Center "Ilko Gallery."
Volodymyr Cherepanya lived 31 years, but, despite the short life, he was active in the arts for ten years.
Art critics say that this artist presents the time barely described in art. Color in the paintings of Volodymyr Cherepanya characterizes his style the best. That is why "light will forever remain among those who love and remember."
