On April 24, at 15.00, in the atrium of the Transcarpathian Regional Council building, the artist from Kyiv, Iryna Tretyak, will present her works for the first time in Uzhgorod. The artist will bring to Uzhgorod the exhibition called "Art – Pomegranate".
She told journalists the details at the press conference on April 17 in the press-center of the RSA. It turns out that the artist was living in Uzhgorod for several months. It is her love for our city, as she admitted, that gave an impetus to the organization of the exhibition.
As for the exhibition, it will be… animals. Positive and very bright. She dedicates the exhibition to children. Uzhgorod citizens will be the first to see this collection of works. Because they have not been exhibited anywhere before. For the first time, she used the gold leaf. Before that, she had only used oil paints. As to the title of the exhibition – "Art Pomegranate", it is related to one of the most famous works of the author – "Pomegranate".
We asked why the atrium of the regional council was chosen as the venue of the exhibition. "I love everything unusual. I’ve had exhibitions in the Verkhovna Rada, embassies. Also, we do not have a culture of going museums and galleries, – she says. – People do not like to pay money to see the pictures. You pay the gallery money, and then nobody comes. For what? You need to be closer to the people."
