On January 18, the grand opening of the exhibition "Closed Gardens" of Transcarpathian artist Agota Veresh was held in the "Forrash" gallery in Budapest.

According to Yeno Sas, the head of the National Institute for Strategic Studies, this exhibition opens the 5th season of the "Carpathian Gallery" – the show of works of Transcarpathia artists, which are presented in the capital of Hungary. He noted that Hungarians abroad are an integral part of the country’s cultural life.

– Despite some difficulties of living in Transcarpathia, for art, as we see, it is not an obstacle. On the contrary, bright colors, dynamic shapes, light play of Agota Veresh’s paintings create positive feelings, – the curator of the project said.

The exhibition was attended by Zsolt Nemeth, the chairman of the parliamentary committee on foreign affairs, former Consul of Hungary in Beregovo Endre Szalipszki, Transcarpathian artists, friends and fans.

Agota Veresh was born in 1972 in the city of Beregovo. She studied at the Karpenko-Karyi National University, therefore, she is an actor, and from time to time participates in the productions of the Beregovo Hungarian Theater. She studied fine art first from her father – Petro Veresh. The passion for painting gradually became her profession. In 2002, she made her debut with the first personal exhibition in Mukachevo.

In 2009, the opening of the solo exhibition of painting by Agota Veresh "Searches" took place in the art gallery "NEF".
