On October 28, in the hall of the Transcarpathian Regional Museum of Folk Architecture and Life, there will be the opening of the exhibition of fine and decorative art by member of the National Union of Folk Artists of Ukraine Anatoliy Sakalosh – on the occasion of the 60th anniversary of the artist.
A native of Khust and graduate of Uzhgorod College of Applied Arts (department of artistic wood processing), Anatoliy Sakalosh for more than 30 years has been living in Beregovo, where he worked as a graphic designer and carver, from 2002 to 2008, he was engaged in restoration and reconstruction of ancient historical and sacred buildings in the Czech Republic, and in recent years has focused primarily on art, been a member of the local art association "Bereg" and actively involved in its activities.
He is the author of several exhibitions in various galleries in Transcarpathia and Kyiv, as well as in neighboring countries. The artist’s works can be found in private collections in Ukraine, Russia, Hungary, Czech Republic, Holland, England, Israel, USA.
At the exhibition in Uzhgorod, Anatoliy Sakalosh will present more than 60 oil and watercolor paintings and wood carvings created by the master over the last decade. Some works will be exhibited for the first time.
