On December 1, in the Transcarpathian Regional Art Museum, there will be the presentation of the publication "Yosyp Bokshay. A man of truth. An artist of truth" – about the life and work of the famous Transcarpathian, People’s Artist of the USSR, corresponding member of USSR Academy of Arts, co-founder of the regional art school.
The album, initiated by the publishing house "Karpaty", was published with the support of the state program "Ukrainian book" for 2016 for libraries and educational institutions of Ukraine.
The publication was prepared by the team of the publishing house and leading critics of Transcarpathia and Slovakia on the occasion of the 125th anniversary of the artist. Currently, it is probably the most complete representation, an extensive research of the life and work of Yosyp Bokshay.
The presentation will be attended by the director of the publishing house "Karpaty" Victor Braslavets, the compiler of the album – the director of the Transcarpathian Art Museum, the master’s grandson Francisk Erfan, the editor of the book Boris Kushnir, art historians Lyudmila Biksey and Olena Prikhodko, and others.
