Excavation works continue on the pedestrian part of Petofi Square, which is blocked for a large-scale and long-term reconstruction.

Diggers made quite a big pit, apparently for a water supply line.

As reported by the municipality, the excavation works are being performed not by the Vodokanal, but by a contractor. The works are being carried out within the reconstruction of engineering networks, which is planned for this area.

Importantly, these works do not require interruption of water supply to city residents, the City Council informs.
