Are policemen involved in illegal tie-ins in pipelines?

The accident at the oil pipeline "Druzhba" occurred when employees of the same company were checking an unauthorized tie-in in the pipe. This was reported by the ZiK channel.

This is not the first such incident in the last six months. In autumn, in the same district, there was another oil leak becuase of illegal tie-in. 

As the Prosecutor’s office in Transcarpathian region reported to Uzhgorod.in, a police officer was involved in that incident.

Victoria Popovich, a spokesman for the Transcarpathian Regional Prosecutor’s Office informs: "A police officer is a defendant in that criminal proceeding. During the investigation it was found out that he was involved in the offense, and on the second of April he was notified of the suspicion of having committed the crime, the investigation in the case is to be completed soon and sent to court."

As for the accident, which occurred on May 28, the investigation has just begun.
