Antsya Kushnytska and wine (PHOTOS)

Many people have heard about the Borzhava narrow-gauge railway – the only operating in Transcarpathia, and some people have even had a chance to ride it. Once, it was a technical know-how and an important element of the economic development of the region, because it was used to deliver timber from the Carpathian forests to Europe.

Times have changed, but the narrow-gauge railroad has not lost its relevance, at least for the tourism industry. So, on May 11, during the "Ugocsa Vine" Festival, "Antsya Kushnytska" made a wine tour for the third time.

The wine tour of Borzhava narrow-gauge railway ran along the route Vynogradiv – Oleshnyk – Chorny Potik – Shalanky. Residents of Vynogradiv district, guests from Fastiv, Uzhgorod, Lithuania, Hungary and the USA, in addition to contemplating landscapes and tasting home-made wines, were able to try local delicacies, eco-juices "Dragun" and to listen to folk songs performed by students of Verbovets School of Arts.

The highlight of the holiday was the visit to the village of Shalanky, with its barrel-making traditions and the ancient "Kabodere" cellar.

The interesting tourism program did not let anyone get bored and, the organizers hope, left the guests with unforgettable experience and a positive mood for the whole year.
