Anti-littering campaign: Transcarpathians cleaned the Tisa River in Hungary (PHOTOS)

The fact is that garbage (mainly PET bottles) comes to the river in the territory of Ukraine.

– With incredible experience, we have finished cleaning forests in the Tisa river floodplain in Hungary, near the city of Vásárosnamény. The cleanup, with the participation of water resourse administration workers from Ukraine and Hungary, volunteers from the environmental organization Pet Kupa, and my friend from Yasinya Beilo Franz and myself, lasted three days.

In total about 150 people took part in the campaign. During this time, almost 2 tonnes of household solid waste (PET bottles, glass bottles, etc.) were collected, – activist from Beregovo, Viktor Buchinsky said.

It is hoped that this is only the beginning of joint actions. And next time the Hungarian volunteers will visit Transcarpathia, where there is a lot of work too.

Such measures will be unnecessary only when each of us cares about the environment.
