Because of 270 packs of cigarettes hidden for illegal transportation across the customs border of Ukraine, a Ukrainian left his "VAZ 2105" at the Transcarpathian customs office.
Moving towards Hungary, the Ukrainian drove to the checkpoint "Tisa" by the "green corridor" lane and verbally declared absence of any goods and objects hidden from customs control, or those that are banned for export from Ukraine.
Employees of the checkpoint, following the risk assessment, sent the vehicle to the box for in-depth inspection, after which they found in the double bottom of the car and under a decorative ceiling covering hidden tobacco products "L&M" worth 3105 UAH.
Thus, the citizen committed actions aimed at moving goods across the customs border of Ukraine concealed from customs control, ie using specially made caches and other means or methods that hinder identification of such goods.
These actions contain signs of violation of customs regulations referred to in Part 1 of Article 483 of the Customs Code of Ukraine. Based on Article 511 of the Customs Code of Ukraine, the report was made, the objects of the offense – tobacco products and vehicle "VAZ 2105" made in 1983 were seized.
