Another spike in COVID-19 incidence rate in Ukraine, including Transcarpathia (MAP)

"During the past day, April 23, 392 people sought emergency medical care, 12 of them had symptoms of acute pneumonia, 13 were suspected of having COVID-19" – the director of the Health Department of the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration Yelizaveta Birov said.

165 samples of biological materials for polymerase chain reaction (PCR) testing were collected. 30 persons were diagnosed with COVID-19, 4 of them are medical workers. 12 people with signs of acute respiratory infection and 12 persons suspected of having COVID-19, including 5 patients diagnosed with COVID-19 were hospitalized in health care institutions over the past day. Overall, as of 9:00 am on April 24, 2020, 260 patients have been diagnosed with COVID-19. Of those, 57 are health care workers and 13 are children. 1581 polymerase chain reaction tests have been carried out.

According to the Public Health Center, as of 9:00 am on April 24, there have been 7647 laboratory confirmed COVID-19 cases in Ukraine, of which 193 were fatal, 601 patients have recovered. During the day, 477 new cases were confirmed. Currently, coronavirus disease has been detected in:
