Almost every Transcarpathian has heard about the "Barbos" animal shelter on the outskirts of the regional center. It is the first such shelter, but fortunately it will no longer be the only one.
With the help of the BUR organization, they plan to open a new temporary home for animals outside Uzhgorod. The work has already started yesterday, on Saturday. About 20 volunteers gathered to clear the grounds and prepare animal enclosures.
All kind of people are working. There are students and much older people. The main goal is to get as many people involved as possible.
The first animals are planned to be settled there on February 24. And while the animals are in kennels, the volunteers are arranging houses for them.
