Yesterday, in one of the halls of the Transcarpathian Regional Art Museum, there was the opening of an interesting exhibition of equally interesting photographers, titled "Charming Carpathians".
Members of the National Union of Photographers of Ukraine Leonid Zakrevsky and Karl Smutko presented their photographs.
"Be sure to visit the Transcarpathian Regional Art Museum. These works must be seen in prints. Today, true connoisseurs of photography gathered here to see beautiful artistic images of the Western Carpathians. These photographs have not only artistic but also documentary value. Some landscapes can be seen only on photos, as every year, unfortunately, for various reasons Carpathians lose part of their beauty. It makes the works even more valuable. It is hard to imagine the efforts put to make such vivid pictures. Anyone, who has tried to do it, will understand. I, as a person working with dynamic images on television and film, is amazed by the talent of these artists who manage to convey the beauty of landscapes in a single static frame. It is extremely difficult. For the past year, I have been trying to understand the world of frozen movements, the world of photography. Such exhibitions put the bar high in the art of photography, teach to appreciate all the opportunities to understand the surrounding world. Bravo, Maestro!" – Oleksandr Hereshko wrote on his page in the social network Facebook.
