Another illegal immigrant was arrested using thermal imaging

Using thermal imager Chop border guards detained another "traveler" who was trying to enter illegally from Ukraine to Slovakia last weekend.

About four o’clock in the morning, border guards of the "Palad Komarivtsi" department detected a figure that was moving in the direction of the neighboring state. Members of the Task Force detained a man of Caucasian appearance one kilometer away from the border. The detainee stated that he was a citizen of Georgia, heading to Austria in search of better living conditions, however, he had no ID. In addition, he explained that he had planned the route from Ukraine to Slovakia back in his home country by means of internet service Google maps.

 The offender was delivered to the unit to ascertain the circumstances of the offense and draw up administrative and procedural documents. The decision on legal liability and his further fate will be taken in court.
