Another corrupted official was caught in Transcarpathia

The head of the district administrative services center was caught when receiving 3,000 UAH bribe.

Today, July 29, prosecutors of Transcarpathian region, together with employees of the Office for combating economic crimes of the regional police caught the head of the administrative services sector of the Permit Center of Rakhiv District State Administration when he was receiving from a Transcarpathian an undue advantage amounting to 3,000 UAH.

The official received the said money for speeding-up issuance of two domestic passports of Ukraine.

The pre-trial investigation over obtaining of undue advantage by an official under Part 3 of Art. 368 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine continues. The sanction of the article provides for imprisonment for a term of five to ten years, with disqualification to hold certain positions or engage in certain activities for up to three years with confiscation of property and with a special forfeiture.

Currently, the issue of notification of the head of the administrative services sector of being suspected, pre-trial restraint against him and removal from the office is being decided.
