It is about the attempt to build in the adjacent area in the yard of high-rise buildings, where there is greenery, children’s and sports grounds, benches… Residents of apartment buildings on General Svoboda and nearby streets sent a collective appeal on this issue – human rights activist Vitaliy Gregor informed in his facebook.
He informs, residents say that about 5 years ago, that is in 2008, they stopped first raider attempts to seize their adjacent territory by a group of unknown persons. As it later became known, the employer of the construction was then deputy of Uzhgorod City Council Pavlo Mayerchyk.
"Residents are outraged by the attempts of Mr. Mayerchyk and the director of the PE "Zakarpatinvestbud" Ruslan Levko to perform construction on their playgrounds and sports grounds with trees, which they personally planted and have been caring for to this day. The residents warn Uzhgorod city authorities that if they try to prolong the lease, they will be forced to organize a perpetual protest, as their neighbors – residents of apartment buildings at Dostoyevsky st., 2 – Hodynka st., 8, Volodymyrska st., 28, Zankovetska st., 36, Korzo st., 11 – did. Currently, 256 residents have signed the collective appeal."
Gregor appeals to all competent authorities to take remedial action to establish the legality of the provision of 0.17 hectares from adjacent area of the appartment buildings on General Svoboda, Mozhaisky and nearby streets to the PE "Zakarpatinvestbud" (founder – Pavlo Mayerchyk).
