Another car was detained at the Transcarpathian customs for the forged documents

A citizen of Ukraine wanted to move across the customs border a "Skoda Octavia" with Polish registration by submitting forged documents to the customs authority.

The Ukrainian tried to leave the country through the checkpoint "Kosyno" of the Transcarpathian customs office. He chose the "green corridor" for customs control. For the customs clearance, he presented a letter of authorization for the use and the registration certificate of the vehicle.

As a result of analytical and search activities, the department of risk analysis and combating customs offenses of the Transcarpathian customs office sent the request to the Polish notary in order to confirm or disprove the legalization of the document presented by the citizen of Ukraine for customs clearance.

The received reply, which stated that the notary had not certified the said letter of authorization, confirmed doubts of the customs officials about the validity of the document – the authorization and signature were forged.

The citizen of Ukraine refused to provide any explanations.

These actions of the Ukrainian contain signs of violation of customs rules under Part 1 of Article 483 of the Customs Code of Ukraine.

The report on violation of customs rules was drawn up, and the vehicle made in 2003 and worth more than 63,000 UAH was seized.
