Another batch of cigarettes was stopped on the way to the EU

On January 28, officers of the Transcarpathian customs office together with border guards of the Chop detachment found hidden cigarettes in a car "Mercedes-Benz" driven by a citizen of Ukraine.

The attempt of illegal tranportation of 200 packs of "Marlboro" with excise stamps of Ukraine was stopped at the customs post "Tisa".

The citizen was undergoing customs control in the "red corridor".

The tobacco products were hidden in the design cavities of the car.

Thus, the citizen committed actions aimed at moving goods across the customs border of Ukraine concealing them from customs control.

These actions have signs of violation of customs regulations under Part 1 of Article 483 of the Customs Code of Ukraine.

Currently, the car estimated at almost 217,000 UAH and the tobacco products at 4,000 UAH have been seized.
