Another attempt of bribe was prevented at the Transcarpathian border

Despite repeated appeals of the management of the Mukachevo Detachment

to all road users not to violate the laws of Ukraine and not to try to get officers of the State Border Guard Service involved in illegal activities, there are still attempts to offer law enforcement officers unlawful benefit for free border crossing.

       Thus, yesterday, at the checkpoint "Vylok", border guards of the Mukachevo detachment recorded and prvented another attempt of bribery. During the inspection of documents of citizens leaving Ukraine, the State Border Guard Service officers detected a Hungarian citizen who had exceeded the permitted period of stay in our country by 26 days. By so doing, she committed an offense under Part 2 of Art. 203 of the CAO of Ukraine.

       To avoid punishment, during the making of the report on administrative violation, she offered a border guard monetary reward in the amount of 200 UAH.

       For the purposes of making a legal decision on possible signs of a crime envisaged by Part 1 of Article 369 of the Criminal Code "Offer, promise or giving of an undue benefit to an officer", this fact was reported to Vynogradiv police department. So now, in addition to administrative liability, the woman may have to incur criminal liability.

       Note that since the beginning of April, this is the third attempt to get officers of the Mukachevo border detachment involved in illegal activities.
