Another administrator of an anti-Ukrainian group in social networks was convicted in Transcarpathia

Based on the case of the Security Service of Ukraine in Transcarpathian region, Uzhgorod City and District Court rendered a verdict against the administrator of a group in one of the social networks, who was distributing anti-Ukrainian materials from abroad, the press-group of the Security Service of Ukraine Office in Transcarpathian region informs.
 Officers of the secret service exposed the unconstitutional activity of a native of Transcarpathian region. Law enforcers recorded that the offender, who was temporarily living in one of the neighboring European countries, was moderating a thematic foreign language group in the social network and systematically posting anti-Ukrainian content there.
The administrator, in particular, was spreading public calls for the separation and "independence" of Transcarpathia from Ukraine, posting appeals demanding to stop the alleged repression of one of the national minorities, etc.
The "activity" of the moderator attracted the attention of Russian media. He declared his "position" to the propaganda TV channels of the aggressor country.
Employees of the security services identified the offender. Investigators of the regional office of the SSU classified the actions of the native of Transcarpathia under Articles 109 and 110 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. During his visit to Ukraine, he was notified of being suspected of committing crimes against the national security.During an authorized search at the suspect’s place of resience, employees of the Security Service found a passport of a citizen of another country.
Uzhgorod City and District Court ruled the accused guilty of the crimes he was charged with and sentenced him to 5 years imprisonment with a probationary period of 3 years. The defendant pleaded guilty and repented.
The court ordered him to inform the authorities if his place of residence, work or study is changed. The foreign language group, which was administered by the native of Transcarpathia abroad, had been blocked earlier.
