Andy Warhol Square will appear in Mynai

The head of the Regional State Administration signed another decree on renaming streets under the Law of Ukraine "On the condemnation of Communist and National Socialist (Nazi) totalitarian regimes in Ukraine and the prohibition of propaganda of their symbols." This time, seven streets and a square in five settlements of Vynogradiv, Irshava, Mukachevo, Tyachiv and Uzhgorod district were renamed.

According to the decree of Hennadiy Moskal, Zhovtneva street in the village of Rakoshyno in Mukachevo district shall be renamed to Edmund Egan street (Hungarian economist and social activist of XIX century, made a huge contribution to the development of agriculture in Transcarpathian region).

Kalinin street in the village of Lopukhiv in Tyachiv district – to Pavlo Bedzir street (famous Transcarpathian artist, born in Tyachiv district).

Turyanytsia street in the village of Mynai in Uzhgorod district – to Ferenc Seman street (Transcarpathian outstanding painter, one of the best students and A.Erdelyi and F. Manaylo).

Zhovtneva street in the village of Mynai – to Volodymyr Degtyarev street (prominent museum figure, long-time director of the Transcarpathian Art Museum, promoter of Transcarpathian art at the national and international level).

Zhovtneva square in the village of Mynai – to Andy Warhol square (world famous artist of Ukrainian origin, one of the founders of pop art).

Zhovtneva street in the village of Fanchykovo in Vynogradiv district – to Stepan Kutlan street (known artist and teacher, author of the Hungarian primer published from 1945 to 1965, a native of Fanchykovo).

Zhovtneva street in the village of Kamyanske in Irshava district – to Kyvyazhdska street (Kyvyazhd is the former name of Kamyanska).

Kolhospna street in the village of Kamyanske – to Augustine Voloshin street (President of Carpathian Ukraine, was awarded the title Hero of Ukraine posthumously).

The next decree of the head of the RSA concering renaming of Tereshkova streets in Transcarpathia will be signed soon.
