On Sunday, the regular elections to the European Parliament finished. A native of Beregovo Andrea Bochkor was re-elected to the EP as a member of the political coalition of the Hungarian parties FIDES and CDPP.
"Hungary received 13 seats in the next European Parliament, which is one more than in the previous cycle, – Laszlo Brenzovych, the leader of the KMKSZ said. – I am glad to say that our fellow countrywoman Andrea Bochkor again received one of seats. She duly represented in Brussels the interests of the inhabitants of the region, consistently advocated the rights of national minorities."
Recall that Andrea Bochkor was born on August 11, 1978 in Beregovo. In 2002, she successfully graduated from the philological department of the Transcarpathian Hungarian Institute (English), then studied at the Budapest University. In 2014, she was elected to the European Parliament as a member of the FIDES-CDPP. She is fluent in Ukrainian, Hungarian, English and Russian.
