An Uzhgorod woman stole golden rings from someone else’s house

Mukachevo police detained a resident of the regional center for the theft of golden rings

The Mukachevo police gathered all the evidence in the criminal proceeding over the theft of jewelry, the offender was notified of being suspected, and the case with the indictment was sent to the court.

The investigator of the Mukachevo police department completed a pre-trial investigation into the theft of gold products from a house in Mukachevo. During the investigation, it was found out that the theft had been committed by a 26-year-old unemployed resident of Uzhgorod.

The woman found a cache with the keys to the victims’ house and stole 5 gold rings from there. The amount of losses suffered by the victims amounted to 20 thousand hryvnias.

The suspect has been repeatedly convicted and served sentences in prison.

Currently, the pre-trial investigation in the case is over. Yesterday, June 19, the criminal proceeding over the theft under Part 3 of Article 180 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine was referred to the court. According to the article’s sanction, the woman faces imprisonment for a term of three to six years.
